Abstract: Taimen Hucho taimen fry with body weight of 0.129 ± 0.07g were fed by 3 feeding regimes in which the fry were fed zooplankton for 3 days, then Tubifex for 15 days and formulated feed (Group A); Tubifex for 15 days and then formulated feed (Group B); and formulated feed (Group C) for 60 days to evaluate effects of weaning regimes on growth, survival and population coefficient of the larvae and juveniles. The results showed that the fish in Group C had higher specific growth rate in weight (3.577± 0.78%/d) than the animals in Group B (3.024± 0.91%/d) and Group A (3.132± 0.87%/d). There was 84.36% survival rates in Group C, higher than those in Group A (75.67%) and Group B (74.87%). The variation coefficient in body weight was found to be 21.47% in Group A, 22.59% in Group B and 11.32% in Group C, indicating that the weaning pattern of Group C is a feasible method for intensive fay culture in taimen.
