Abstract: Two Chinese herbal medicine compounds（AB,CD） were used as additives in order to estimate effects of the Chinese medicine on lysozyme activities in different tissues including hepatopancrease,serum,spleen and gills of common carp Cyprinus carpio L with body weight of g..The common carp were fed the diets containing two Chinese herbal medicine compounds at feeding rate of 2.0% and with the control group fed the basic diets at the same feeding rate for 28 days.Blood serum and the tissues samples were collected 1 day after stopping feeding while the lysozyme activity were assayed.The results showed that the two Chinese medicine compounds elevated the lysozyme activity in the common carp.The significant increase in lysozyme activity was found in the serum and tissue samples in CD groups compared with that in the control group.The significant increase in ysozyme activity in the fish in AB group except for the hepatopancrease according to that in the control group.There were no obvious differences between the two experimental groups except in the hepatopancrease.The two Chinese medicine compounds was found to enhance the common carp immunity with little difference.
